Directions
Flushing Meadows New Acquatic & Ice Rink Facility-
- Directions to the Flushing Meadows Corona Park Aquatic Center (please check the following link for info directly from the parks department):
NOTE the NEW rink is NOT the one next to the Unisphere. That is the OLD rink and is no longer open. The link above will provide directions to the NEW rink which is located in the same building as the Aquatic center within the park. The NEW rink is located on the East side of the park. The old rink is located on the West side of the park.

- Subway:
- From the #7 IRT Subway Flushing Station:
- Take the #7 Flushing IRT express to the Flushing Main Street (last) stop (end of the line).
- Exit on Roosevelt/ Main St.
- Walk towards 40th St./Rd on main street.
- Turn right on Stanford.
- Turn left on College Point Blvd.
- Turn right on Avery St. Walk under overpass Rink and Pool will be right in front of you.
- Walk will take about 15 mins for a fast walker.
- From the #7 IRT Subway Shea Stadium / Willets Point Station:
- Take the #7 Flushing IRT. Exit at Willets Point/Shea Stadium. Iinstead of walking towards the tennis complex and towards the Unisphere (which was generally South towards the old rink), you will go to the SE and look to pick up Meridian Road and follow it around along the Van Wyck until
you reach the rink/pool complex. This looks to be about 1/2 mile again. I am not sure of what obsticals lie in the walking path so until someone does this, this is all I can offer. I will try to see if I can get some better details and pass them along. The walk should take approximately ten minutes. - (Note: Due to extensive construction in the area between this subway station and the new rink facility, it is suggested to use the Flushing stop instead. See directions above.) Take the IRT #7 Flushing subway to the Shea Stadium / Willets Point Station. The Flushing Meadow Corona Park Aquatic Center is about a seven-minute walk down the ramp from the station to the left. Or take the IND E or F trains to Roosevelt Avenue and transfer upstairs to the IRT #7 train (Flushing-bound) subway to the Shea Stadium / Willets Point Station.

- Go the the park link above to find directions via bus to the new Aquatic/Ice rink building on the West side of the park.
- Automobile:
- From West and midtown Manhattan: Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE, also known as I495) east to exit 22 - Grand Central Parkway/Triboro Bridge. Stay on the service road, pass over the GCP and continue to College Point Blvd. Exit onto College Point Blvd going North. Stay to the left so that when you get to
the traffic light just north of the LIE you can turn left across College point Blvd. * Go under 678 (Van Wyck Expsswy)
end enter the park. At the stop sign (under the bridge) make a right onto Meridian
Road and follow this about 1/2 mile. The rink/pool complex will be on the left.
Parking is just before you reach the complex, under the Van Wyck Expressway.
- From Brooklyn: Take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE) to LIE eastbound. Take the LIE to 22 - Grand Central Parkway/Triboro Bridge. Stay on the service road, pass over the GCP and continue to College Point Blvd. Exit onto College Point Blvd going North. Stay to the left so that when you get to the traffic light just north of the LIE you can turn left across College point Blvd. * Go under 678 (Van Wyck Expsswy) end enter the park. At the stop sign (under the bridge) make a right onto Meridian Road and follow this about 1/2 mile. The rink/pool complex will be on the left. Parking is just before you reach the complex, under the Van Wyck Expressway.
- Or from Brooklyn coming up the Van Wyck (678) exit at 12B onto College Point Blvd and go North on College Point Blvd. Bear left on College Point Blvd looking for a sign to enter the park. Cross College pt. blvd under 678 and into the park. Make a right onto Meridian Road and follow about 1/2 mile. the New Acquatic/rink facility will be on the left (first building). Just before the building will be an entrance to parking under the Van Wyck.
- From North, Triboro Bridge, Throgs neck, or Whitestone bridges: Get to the Van Wyck (678) to exit 12A and exit at College Point Blvd. At the light make a right and go a short distance looking for the park entrance on the right. Follow the signs to the Acquatic (pool) center.
- From East and Long Island: If coming from the LIE Westbound (from LI), exit at 22B for College Point Blvd.
Get to the right as you exit and take the first right, bear left so that you go to
the traffic light and cross College point Blvd. * Go under 678 (Van Wyck Expressway)
end enter the park. At the stop sign (under the bridge) make a right onto Meridian
Road and follow this about 1/2 mile. The rink/pool complex will be on the left.
Parking is just before you reach the complex, under the Van Wyck Expressway.
Note that this is not secure parking so do NOT leave valuables in the car.
Short walk across the street to the rink. Rink is thru the entrance to the right
on that same level, double doors on the left. - * Look for signs to the Tennis center. There are no signs for the ice rink.
- Alternative route... after exiting LIE and getting onto College Point Blvd, continue on College Point Blvd until you come to Avery Avenue. Turn left and go to the end. This will point you at the parking area under the Van Wyck which is parallel to 131st St. and that is the parking area located across the street from the new pool/rink facility. Walk into the new building which is locate IN the park.
